Ogundeji, Razaque Kayode was born in Lagos in 1966 to the family of Mr and Mrs Ayinde Ogundeji from Wasimi town in Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State. He started his education at Saint Judes Anglican Primary School, Ilasamaja, Mushin, Lagos State in 1973. He proceeded, afterwards, to Archbishop Aggey Memorial Secondary School, Ilasamaja, Mushin, Lagos where he obtained his O’ level WASCE. Mr Ogundeji, had his Ordinary and Higher National Diplomas in Agriculture and Agricultural Economics and Extension, respectively from the Lagos State Polytechnic, Ikorodu.

He later went for his Post Graduate Diploma in Agricultural Economics and Extension in Enugu State University of Science and Technology where he also obtained his Master of Science degree in Agricultural Economics with specialisation in Production Economics and Farm Management. He also has a Post Graduate Diploma in Research Methods and Skills from the Maastricht School of Management, Maastricht University, Maastricht in The Netherlands.

Mr Ogundeji, Razaque Kayode is a certified Professional Manager as Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered). He has attended several courses on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development; Needs Assessment, Research Methodology, Report Writing, Project Monitoring and Evaluation; Developing and Promoting Management Consulting Skills; Training of Trainers/Consultants on Catfish Production; Technology Competitiveness and Innovation; Business Leadership; among others.  The courses were attended in Nigeria, Asia and Europe.

He started his working career as a Manager in FASCO Blocks Company Limited, Lagos in 1982 immediately after his secondary education before joining the Federal Institute of Industrial Research, Oshodi (FIIRO) in 1983 as a Clerical Officer. He served as a Lecturer in the then Ibrahim Babangida College of Agriculture (now Cross River State University of Science and Technology), Obubra, Cross River State during his NYSC year in 1991/1992. He was seconded to the Technology Incubation Centre, Nnewi, Anambra State from 1999 – 2003, to use his wealth of experience to establish the Centre. As the first Business Development Officer of the Centre, he assisted the development of fledgling MSMEs businesses.

His areas of research interest are: Adoption Studies on Research and Development Results; Technology Needs Assessment; Technology Incubation and Enterprise Performance; Technology Transfer; Entrepreneurship; MSMEs Development Studies; Food Security; Poultry Production; Fish Farming; among others.

Mr Ogundeji has seven research articles in peer-reviewed academic journals. He has co-authored four books on entrepreneurship, investment opportunities and agricultural raw material utilisation in Nigeria. He has attended several seminars, workshops, summits, exhibitions and conferences as facilitator, resource person, discussant, presenter, etc.

Mr Ogundeji has written over fifty bankable techno-economic feasibility reports. His expertise in business plan and feasibility report preparation has assisted the establishment of many Micro and Small scale businesses. Some of these have either graduated from or are under incubation in Technology Incubation Centres across the country. He has contributed to the training of over 30,000 potential and existing agro-allied entrepreneurs across the country, most of whom have established and are running profitable businesses. He is an astute agricultural techno-entrepreneur, business adviser, guide and investment counsellor.

His hobbies are: farming, reading, writing, internet browsing, playing scrabbles and chess games. Mr Ogundeji is happily married with children.
